This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not collect.
The app shows no advertisements, uses no analytics or tracking of any kind, and never asks for your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files. Signing in is completely optional — every article, search and bookmark works without an account. Almost everything the app remembers stays on your own phone.
The whole article library ships inside the app and works offline. These are stored on your device only, are never sent to us, and cannot be seen by us:
Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes all of it completely.
You may sign in so that your bookmarks follow you to another phone. Sign-in is handled by Clerk (clerk.quranandhadis.com), the same account you use on our Quran app and website; it opens in your browser and returns to the app when you are done. We never see or store your password.
Once you are signed in we store, on Google's Firebase servers:
That is all. We do not record which articles you opened, how long you read, or what you searched for. If you would rather not have any of this on our servers, simply do not sign in — or ask us to delete it (section 9).
The reader has a Report option for telling us a post has a mistake. We store the description you type and the reason you pick, so that our editors can check it.
No name, phone number or email address is attached to a report, and it is not linked to your account. We cannot tell who sent it. It is kept afterwards as a record of what was corrected.
The published version of the app uses Firebase Crashlytics. If the app crashes, it sends Google the technical details of the crash: where in the code it happened, your phone model, your Android version, the app version, and a random installation id. Your name, email address and account id are never attached, and nothing is sent while the app is working normally.
The app also uses Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity. Before the Arabic meaning service will answer, Google confirms that this is a genuine copy of the app installed from the Play Store. It reports on the app, not on you.
The app contains no analytics software at all — no screen tracking, no usage statistics, no advertising id, and no profile of you is built anywhere.

The app can open our other Islamic apps if you have them installed, show them on the Google Play Store, and share its own Play Store link through whichever app you pick (WhatsApp, email and so on). Those apps belong to other companies and are governed by their own privacy policies. We attach no information about you to anything that is shared.
The app asks for no other permissions. It never requests your camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, phone or calendar.
The app contains religious articles suitable for every age. It is not directed at children, shows no advertising, and builds no profile of any user, child or adult.
You can delete everything at any time. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes everything held on your phone. To delete your account and anything stored on our servers, follow the steps on our Data & Account Deletion page, or simply write to the address below.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. The only companies that process any of it are the services the app runs on, and only for the purposes above:
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
